Allena Rose Yates is a wife, mother, scientist, and artist. She has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in biology, and coursework in drawing and science illustration.
Allena received a love of photography from her father and was encouraged in drawing by her mother and sisters. She established A Rose Designs in 2002, and her first sale was to the man who later became her husband.
Allena's first artistic love is flowers, and she has a special interest in native wildflowers and their pollinators. In fall 2018 she began painting birds with acrylics and is becoming an avid birder. Allena invites you to look around and join her in wondering at the intricacy and loveliness of our amazing world.
